The watchlist

Follow a competitor and hear when its price, stack or state changes.

A watch is a standing instruction: tell me when this product changes. It is the difference between a table you have to remember to open and one that tells you when it matters.

This page covers what counts as a change worth telling you about, where it reaches you, and how many watches each plan allows.

Adding a watch

Press Watch on any record, or search for the app from Add a watch on your watchlist. Either way you are picking something already on AppWatch.

If the app you want is not here, tell us and we will add it. Until 26 August 2026 you could type any domain and we would create an entry for it on the spot. That is gone, because a text box that writes to a public dataset is one somebody eventually fills with junk, and this table is only worth anything if you can believe it.

What it tells you about

A price change. A redesign. A change in what it is built on. A state change, so a product going dead or turning out to be acquired. A funding signal appearing on the site. A new arrival in the same market.

Not traffic and not revenue. We do not hold either, and a number we cannot observe is not one we will invent.

Where it reaches you

Two places. The bell in the header and your inbox get each thing as it happens. The digest email rolls the same facts up on a schedule, so you can switch off the mail and keep the feed.

Emails and notifications covers the switches.

Watching a market

A market is a slice of the same table, one row per market instead of per product. Watching one tells you what arrived in it, which answers "who is coming for us" rather than "what is this one app doing".

How many you get

Two on the free plan, fifteen on Starter, and no limit on Pro. Market watches are a Pro feature. If you are already over a limit you keep every watch you have, including the mail about them; you are only refused when you add another.

Plans and billing has the rest.
